Having been prepared by an independent accountant, the finance committee approved the accounts for the parish for 2025. Members: Michele O'Dwyer (chair), Vince O'Donovan, and the clergy of the six parishes.
Notes
The committee:
- 109k for works in Barrryoe completed in 2024.
- 60k for additional works in Barryroe (repairing wall, removing buildings, repair to house roof, etc.)
- 50k for works in Courtmacsherry
- 10k from 2023 income tax relief and 10k from 2024 income tax relief appear as a single figure in 2025.
- Property tax was paid inconsistently in previous years; it will be paid for 2026 forward by standing order in March.
- Since the large bequest in 2023 is for Courtmacsherry church and not the parish, the parish's reserves were approx. €30,000.00 on the first of the year, approx €320,000.00 remaining in Courtmacsherry's bequest.
- We await the bequest of Ms Terry Dwyer.
