Bishop Fintan Gavin has provided the following guidance regarding funerals in the Diocese of Cork and Ross during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The government guidance for funerals has been updated to include the following:
If you can’t go to confession, take your sorrow directly to God, pope says
People who cannot get to confession because of the coronavirus lockdown or another serious reason can go to God directly, be specific about their sins, request pardon and experience God’s loving forgiveness, Pope Francis said.
“This is the right time, the opportune moment.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
“In truth I tell you once again, if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them.”
